WHY WE WORK

We work because I use his toothbrush and he uses mine!

We work because he tells me I am beautiful and I cannot get over his darling personality.

We work because he fixes any tech problems of mine and I edit his college papers.

We work because when we were young, I opened my heart and he has guarded it ever since.

We work because when I get my grumpy face on wanting food after a long day of no lunch breaks, he picks me up + spins me around the kitchen reminding me that life is okay.
We work because we both will be the first ones on the dance floor and the last ones to leave the lake.
We work because he brings me Subway and watches me teach h.s. whenever he has a chance not because he has to but because he loves watching me in my element.

We work because he finishes my meals and I finish his desserts!
We work because he does accents + impersonations and beams when I throw my head back in laughter.

We work because we would rather be outside on a mountain trail or a lake than inside on a couch.

We work because we kneel each night together, quietly whispering the prayers from the depths of our hearts

We work because he will wake up + gently reassure me when I have a nightmare.

We work because he will listen to me creating new history simulations and I will listen to his business ideas, coding, or the latest technological advancements that come out.

We work because we would rather have each other at our worsts over all the $$ in the world.

We work because he likes to drive and I sing or talk his ear off about my students in the passenger seat.

We work because we both support each other's dreams even though they are crazy and wild, we want to help each other live our dreams-together.

We work because he makes me laugh harder than any other human.

We work because I watch his football games and he watches the Bachelorette.

We work because he will take me to Olive Garden and "Oooh" and "Aaah" w/ me over the cute babies

We work because he doesn't like shopping and I can pick out a "Cars shirt" from the front of the store.

We work because he follows recipes and I experiment.

We work because he will go into the store to buy tampons while I sit in the car with cramps.

We work because we work. Even when things get hard, we try to be more sweet, more understanding, more loving. I put him first and and I know that he would drop anything for me. I fall more in love with him because really he just means everything to me. We work because there is no other place we would rather be.

Who would have thought five years later we would be married?! It's Unreal.

I know it is a bit late but I am just trying to keep afloat with this blog...life is so dang busy!  I loved how clever and fun this blog idea was so in honor of V-Day, I started to brainstorm why we work. Try it!
