HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Dracula was in charge of our ward Halloween Party this year--> he planned and "MC"ed the entire event.

Kids would run up to him..."Mr. Vampire, Mr. Vampire...can I do the pie eating contest??" or "Mr. Vampire, check out my costume? Did I win the costume contest yet?" or find me:"WHOA, you are married to Mr. Vampire? "Your skin is a very pretty color." Between him running the show + me stuffing my face for the pie eating contests w/ the yw and running the fishing booths...we were busy, busy! It definitely was a night for the books...and totally worth scrubbing our faces off to remove the paint.

HOWEVER, one of the best parts of Halloween this year: our homemade "Haunted Hedgie" movie! Chelsea (my twin sister) and Nick bought a hedgehog. To celebrate the holidays, they wanted to create this debut movie with their darling little star. They came over to our place one night with Hannah this week (having family live close rocks!). Between laughing breaks, moments of genius acting (ha!), and many hilarious outtakes, we created enough footage for this spooky film. After brilliantly compiling all of the footage, Chels sent me a link to this a day later...and we haven't stopped laughing since. Enjoy!

Happy Halloween xoxo

Halloween Left Us Speechless

Sorry this post is a little late but we wanted to wish you all, a Happy Halloween, mime style!

After work + school, we ran all over Provo/Orem trying to find a costume for our friend's epic Halloween Party. we ALWAYS dress up and this year was no exception. Yeah...we were those people who went to the costume store at 6:00pm on Halloween night... and come to find out-->so were Chels and Nick...we ran into them at one of the stores (HA) and that is why we love each other so!  Everything was picked over and WAY overpriced ($75 for face paint...who buys that?)  For fun, we tried on hilarious Hunger Games and Cindy Lou Who wigs that were a bajillion dollars....but we still ended up leaving empty handed. Suddenly, we had an idea and ran with it.
It's either go big or go home, baby.

Who would have guessed...we won our first Halloween Costume Contest!!!
And....even better....Cars ended up ripping his pants in one of the games...a few enthusiastic/quick movements...man down....we aren't talking about a little tear....it was a 7-inch rip all the way through the crotch...he was pretty stationary after that! :)

Needless to say, we had a riot at the Miles' home and went pants shopping the next weekend!

P.S. we aren't the only ones who had fun on Halloween. Check out my Dad ^^.
(I wonder where we get the love to dress up from)...Hagrid was up in Fruit Heights this Halloween! ;)

We hope you all had a Happy Halloween!

Tangled in Love

I love family. I love Easter. This weekend was perfection.

We have many fun Easter traditions that I have loved since I was a little girl.
One darling one involves string...lots and lots of string (and AMAZING parents).
We wake up to our name on a sticky note attached to a brightly colored line of string at the top of the stairs.  String is EVERYWHERE! The Easter Bunny runs x amount of lines, one for each person, around the house and outside. At the end of the string is a little goody basket. It is a riot. Our family loves it. This year, we had two new members: Carson and Nick. (We really missed you, Hannah! See her adventures with: Easter in Jerusalem)

The older you get, the harder it gets.
Even Koda joined in on the family fun. (Koda loves Dad!)
(Attractive outfit, eh?)
 Family. Food. & Fun.
Delicious Monkey Bread
We dye Easter eggs
My mom is so cute and creative. This year, we made little birdies for rolls. SO fun and festive. (inspiration)
Some have seen better days ;)

It only gets better. I am now a member of another family, the Garrett family. It was so fun for us to run over and spend the rest of the day laughing, eating, and enjoying each others company with the Garretts. I sure do love the Garrett family. Double the love. Double the fun. Double the traditions (sorry, no pics).
