Road Trip: The Beginnings!

well, we did it--> we took a (super) spontaneous road trip to the west coast! 

we drove 2000 miles in 6 days 

it was just me, Cars, and the wild west! 

wow, did we have a blast--we would do it again in a heartbeat. 

1st bathroom break @ the Salt Flats. 

we sang, talked, laughed, and drove until 1 am (okayyy, I lasted until midnight).  

we pulled over in the middle of nowhere, pushed aside our snacks, & pulled out our sleeping bags.

 (note to self: it is a rough sleep in the back of this little guy--but hilariously worth it!)

the next morning, we were on the road again!

first stop: Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is GORGEOUS! we were in heaven!

we put our toes in the water and just basked like little sea lions. (it was a bit torturous for Carson to sit next to these nice boats at the lake and not be in one of them :) --> give him a day on the lake and he won't stop beaming!)

(he won't like that I put this one on here ^^ but seriously??...I am the luckiest!)

as we were driving around the lake...

we had to get out and hike around. it is beautiful! the trees are phenomenal!

and we even climbed inside a few

we most definitely will be coming back!

...then we were on the road again!
