Nature Date

“I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery—air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, "This is what it is to be happy.” ― Sylvia Plath
Tonight, was date night. It was my turn to decide the date. I was planning this crazy, fun surprise of an activity...but it had been a very busy and emotional day (post below)...so we had a change of plans...definitely an outdoors night-->the wilderness was calling our name. We jumped in the car, grabbed a cafe rio soup (delish) and headed for Provo Canyon. And of course we couldn't leave without taking the Canon**(more info below). It was so refreshing to enjoy the simplicity of the evening. We had no where to be, no responsibilities  it was just me + C+ the big outdoors. We hiked, told stories, and took turns capturing snippets of nature's glory along the way. Best decision ever.
Here are a few things we saw...
one of my favorite shots ^^ of the evening. When we saw this, we both started singing the song
"You and me go fishing in the dark..."
(this late night fisherman was catching fish left and right.)
this right here, ladies and gentlemen, is happiness for me! I'm always laughing.
(Cars is currently modeling a sunflower look. ^^ Thank you, my go-to model for everything)
Having my knees serve as a tripod did not work well w/ my aperture and shutter speed settings for this photo (obviously)but I had to put this one in here because these, my friends, are my favorite shoes evaa.  ^^
I love the textures of nature! ^V
“We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.”
(I just read this great talk today about peace.)

(I feel that this picture is a great ending pose...that or a school picture pose)
Well...until next time. We hope you are all able to take time, even if it is just a few moments, to do something just for you!
Thanks for stopping by.

***Many of you have been asking me about the Camera and Editing programs we use.
I promise to put all of the information in the "About" sections soon
